The New Lookout 2015

In 2013 we obtained planning consent to replace the Old Coastguard Lookout with a new more robust, warm and weatherproof building. Construction commenced in the Spring 2015 and the first watch in the New Lookout took place in July with an official opening by the High Sheriff of Devon, Admiral Sir James Burnell-Nugent KCB CBE on 20th September.

Visitors Welcome

Not only is our new lookout large enough for watchkeepers to turn around without stepping on each others toes but we are also able to welcome visitors. Do come and see what we do.
